Day 144 "Well with My Soul" 9 x 6 mixed

This morning, my home church held its annual meeting during which the congregation voted to become an Open and Affirming community.  It was an important vote, held after a lengthy investigation and exploration and discussion about what it would mean for our church.  The church voted unanimously, to  "make a public covenant of welcome into their full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions."  These flowers sat on the altar, and a visiting choir soloist sang "It is Well with My Soul".. just a beautiful day on so many levels.
