Day 255 "Maine Porch" 5 x 9 ink, markers, pastel

A few years ago, I joined some artist friends in New Harbor, Maine in a lovely Victorian house for a week of painting and friendship.  I went two different years.  The area is very familiar to me as my family has been visiting there for several generations.  Here is a drawing of the porch at dusk, just as the interior lights were coming on.  It's a sweet place.

Day 164 "Friends" ink, marker, pencil 7 x 6

In a neighboring town, there are lovely homes like these two, nearby one another and overlooking the bay.  I love their cottage feel, mansard roof lines, and proximity to one another.  The sun plays off their windows and dormers, making beautiful patterns.  I love that these two houses have been standing for decade upon decade, watching people come and go, and I imagine them talking to one another about the changes they see.
This is my hundred sixty-fourth daily drawing.  Thank you for your time and attention.

Day 121 "His and Hers" pen, ink, marker 9 x 6

There is a lovely
home down the street from us, with these two rockers on the side porch.  One rocker is much more simple design than the other.  One is carved oak.  The other is more of a classic country porch rocker.  The two rockers were sitting side by side, with their fronts reaching out to the sun, and I did a drawing of them.  They are very inviting, a sweet conversation nook on the porch.
This is my hundred twenty-first daily drawing.  Thank you for continuing to follow my drawing adventure.
